Tenants prefer to reach an optimum early cash settlement rather than attempt the works and we are able to quickly and accurately support this by arguing against a landlord’s claim on three levels:

  • The works are wrong or related costs overstated;
  • The interpretation of the lease obligations is incorrect; and
  • They plan to do something to the building that renders the works ‘valueless’
