Blackmore Building Consultancy is a RICS regulated commercial building surveying firm created to provide landlords and occupiers with the very best independent, specialist building surveying advice and services based on many decades of experience and a detailed understanding of ‘the game’ to speedily identify and minimise future risk, settling the majority of claims before lease end, saving our clients’ substantial amounts of time and money
Why Us?
There are many big and small building surveying firms, but most have to function at the generalist level of the spectrum to make ends meet - there are very few specialist firms.
Dealing with the big generalist firms is very like looking for that widget in your local DIY warehouse. You spend an hour finding every variant except the one you need, then get handed it in 30 seconds (and half the price) when you finally give up and pop into that little specialist shop on the high St.
We know what we are doing, we respect our clients, they respect us, and that is what sets our company apart from others.
- Commercially aware: We understand the commercial pressures our clients are under and wherever possible tailor our service to meet their expectations and needs
- Track Record: In the last 12 months alone we have successfully resolved many millions of pounds in dilapidations disputes for landlords and tenants
- Fees: Our fees are competitive, reflect the type and level of service provided and whenever possible are incentive based to share the client’s risk
- Experience: The team boast decades of dilapidations experience
- Expertise: Members of the team act as expert witness in court cases and ADR, lecture, sit on related industry committees and write extensively on their chosen subjects
Our Philosophy
We believe all our client instructions are equally important, no matter how big or small. Our company is needed in both good and bad situations in life, and we do whatever we can to make all instructions a good experience no matter the subject. We look at our clients as people with genuine problems and do not measure their wallet before we look at their case. Having your instruction dealt with by a mega 'one-stop-shop' surveying firm might be sensible if you need to justify your decision to hire. It's also excellent for all those juniors who need to learn by their mistakes, but in an ideal world you ought to look to firms that employ them after they learn their trade.
